What should I do if I have an orthodontic repair while on vacation?

First of all, we are available for you whether you are in town, or on vacation. If a wire breaks, a bracket pops off, or any other orthodontic problem requiring repair occurs, firstly give us a call. We may be able to instruct you how to repair it yourself (such as clipping a broken wire with nail clippers, or placing wax over a popped bracket.) If we are unable to help you over the phone, we will help you find an orthodontist in your vacation area that can help you. If for some reason you have trouble getting a hold of someone in our office, we suggest you search online for orthodontists in your area. Most orthodontists will be willing to lend a helping hand to orthodontic patients, even if they aren't regular patients!

If you have Invisalign and you lose a tray, not to worry! You can just put in the previous tray, or the next tray, and call us when you return home!

Remember to stay away from those problematic foods that we have told you about, and have a wonderful vacation!
